Kobe is as usual.

We recently watched a film about graffiti in NY during 80s. I either do not find such doodles often generally in cities in Japan or I simply ignore the existence, or both. After watching the film I visited Kobe, where I visit with my family almost every week. There were at least couple of walls with graffiti on. Indeed, the milk tetrapack has been a favorite of mine.

IKEA in Port Island, is another place I enjoy. In a sense, it reminds me of Europe, and the atmosphere of particular IKEA in Warsaw since they are essentially designed to be similar. Also ones who frequently fly with Finnair may find similar atmosphere at Schipol Air Port, Finland. I visit the place primarily not for shopping, but to see & breath in the little Sweden. A cup (or two) of coffee on the IKEA sofa is another essential.

I do not like huge international mega stores, but IKEA provides us good Sunday entertainment, Starbucks serves good coffee in a soft, unique lighting. Although I live in Japan, I like to be in Europe time to time...


最近80年代NYにおけるグラフィッティについての映画を（自宅スクリーンで）観ました。普段は街を歩いていても日本ではなかなかそのようなペインティングは見ません。そのあとほぼ毎週家族と訪ねる神戸に行ったのですが、映画を観たあとであるといくつかの壁にグラフィッティがあることに気がつきました。ただ北野にあるビルの一つに描かれた牛乳パックのペイントだけは前からお気に入りでした。

ポートアイランドのIKEAもたまに行く場所の一つです。IKEAはヨーロッパとその中でもワルシャワにあるIKEAを思い出させてくれます。フィンランド航空でよく旅行される方は中継地のスキポール空港とIKEAの雰囲気が似ていると思うこともあるのではないでしょうか？私は実はIKEAでは買い物ではなく、この小スウェーデンを見て空気を吸うために行きます。IKEAソファーで飲むコーヒーも欠かせません。

私は普段国際的巨大チェーン店は好きではありませんが、IKEAは日曜日のエンターテイメントを提供してくれますし、スターバックスは良いコーヒーを独特な柔らかい照明の下で提供してくれます。私は日本に住んでいますが、たまにヨーロッパで過ごしたいと思います。

Anew. How?

Some people, objects and scenes, we see more often and regularly. These are things which get tedious. It is exciting to embark for exotic somewhere, jangles, beaches, mountains, poler regions or some Latino cities, with a camera and shoot beautiful something. But isn't is most convenient, ecological, or in other words, inspiring to be able to observe the mystery/beauty of things we are most close to? This is something I find very difficult to achieve.
When a person sees a things, each associates with her/is own experience and perceives unique impression. A foreigner comes to any country, they are possibly very impressed with differences. Some might be more delighted and find rich diversity and elements of fusion between modern/old cultures in the pop fashions on usual street of Kobe. It again depends on what a person's mind is directed to...., how is it???
I wish people re-discover the beauty of her/is own precious and tedious microcosmos. Some may have methodologies they practice or have in their mind. Comments/advice are very welcome.

普段見慣れている人であったり物であったり風景であったりは、なぜかつまらなくなり気にも留まらなくなります。普段行かないジャングルや山や極地などにカメラを持って行き、撮影をするというアイデアは考えるとわくわくします。しかし、もし一番身近にあるものにその小さな世界の真相を見出せたらそれはとても楽しいことではないでしょうか。私はこれがとても難しく感じます。
例えば観光客が違う国に遊びに行ったとします。まず自分と違う肌の人がたくさんいて、とてもユニークなファッションで道を歩いていることに感動するかもしれません。もっと知識のある人であれば新・旧文化の入り交じった現在の人々の生活がとても楽しいと感じるかもしれません。やはりその人が何かを見て深く何かを感じられるかというのはその人の姿勢によるものではないでしょうか。
いつも一番近くの小宇宙に私たちが愉しみを見つけられることを願います。良いアイデア、行動など知っている人がありましたらコメント、アドバイスなどお待ちしています。
